Being a proficient editor of your own work and learning how you might best present a series of images to your audience is an incredibly important element of being a photographer. Which pictures work well together and which sequence works best to create an interesting flow or story?
Stephen Kelly is not only a well known reportage-photographer but also an experienced educator in workshops and lectures. Some of you already had a glimpse of his way to thread together a series and his helpful remarks of why he does it that way in one of the street reportage workshops organized by PICZ.
By the end of this workshop, you will have learned more about how to develop a personal approach and style to your own editing/sequencing.
- bring 10 to 30 pics of one project or up to 3 smaller projects
- bring them printed (as small as 10x15cm or even 9x13cm is ok and it can also be done with a decent laserprinter at the office), so they can be arranged in different variants and favorite sequences can be noted on the back
- you will work on your own projects, partly assisted by Stephen and also get to see how Stephen goes about editing the other participants projects
Please be sure to secure your space by transfering the ticket cost to PICZ, for payment details see http://picz.ch/about-picz/#becomemember (PICZ-clubmembers get a discount of sFr.20). In case of cancelation full refund possible until Sept, 25th.
