THE THEME: Landscapes inspired by Ansel Adams

PICZ gives you the opportunity to (re)discover the work and style of the famous American photographer Ansel Adams (1902-1984).

He is best known for his black and white images of the American West and his iconic shoots of Yosemite’s. This quarter we propose you to get the inspiration from Adams work and to explore his technic to shoot your own iconic landscape photographies.

While we ask you to find the inspiration from him, do not feel oblige to copy his work. Once again we want you to be creative and to have fun so don’t hesitate to revisite his style and technic and to surprise us.

Description: Harding Icefield Trail is a spectacular area perfect for a day hike leaving from the Exit Glacier Area of Kenai Fjords National Park outside Seward in Alaska. After a couple of hours up through the forest with not really much views around, the top of the trail is simply a breathtaking window to past ice ages. The picture was taken during my trip to Alaska in July 2017 with full focus on landscape photography. Canon EOS 5D Mark III + Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 L IS USM, f/7.1, 1/2500, ISO-400, 32mm with ND 8 used to get the contrast and details.
